Angus interviewed on Talk Radio 702
Brother Angus was interviewed this morning on 702 by Redi Direko. It
was a lovely interview and he shared simply as always, how Jesus came
into his life and how his family are living for Jesus too and how God
is everything to him and them.
Redi asked him why it was only conferences
for men that he held, and always the gentleman, he spoke gently to her,
sharing how God called him to mentor the younger men - and that it was
for the women that he did this. When men are in their rightful Godly place, the lives of the family change.
He shared about the supernatural way that people come to the conferences and stadiums to hear about Jesus. He shared how he has just been to Kroonstad and there were 30 000 people there, Over 50 000 at ABSA and over 72 000 at Loftus. Redi asked him why this was happening? He said that revival is here and that it started in homes and that is where healing for our land will come from. People are looking for hope for direction for their lives. She asked him about some comments made about mostly white people attending. He said that he is colour blind and that all are welcome, no matter who you are, then he started chatting to her in fluent Zulu! She laughed and answered whatever he asked her in Zulu and he shared that whoever wants to come, comes - it has nothing to do with race.
A brother from
Cape Town called in and said that they have 150 000 people waiting to
go to Newlands when he comes down, The stadium is already sold out for
the Friday and Saturday and that the Rugby is being moved around these
stadium events so that people can attend. How's that for Divine
intervention? He also shared that he wants to possibly come to Soweto
next year too.
He was asked some questions from callers - a few were about the
different roles of husbands and wives in families and the usual "I
don't agree with the wives being submissive to the husband" etc. and
one guy called in laughing while he asked his question - so much so
that Redi asked him what was so funny? I sensed he was put up to it by
some friends and was uncomfortable doing it his question was "what
does Angus feel about homosexuals?" Angus stated very clearly that he
loves them and also lesbians and so does God, but acccording to the
Word of God, it is clearly wrong. He shared that there are homosexuals
who come to the MMC and are delivered from it. Some sms's were very
scathing as was to be expected as you can quite easily be a follower of
Buddha or some other religiousgroup and that is totally acceptable.
Just don't say the name of Jesus out loud. It can open flood-gates of
vitriol. There's power in the name of Jesus.
The highlight of the interview was when a guy named Bruce called in and sounded quite distressed. He said that his Dad, before having died he had had a relationship with God. His mom also had a relationshipwith God. He said his dad had appeared to him in a dream a few years ago and told him he had to find God. He said he has searched a lot of different religions and that he cannot find Him - it is not working for him. The christianity he has come across is full of hypocrites and he is at his wits end and does not know what to do. Angus was so gentle. He asked him if his parent's loved him and he replied "yes" he then went on to share with him how it is not about religion that it is about having a living relationship with Jesus in the same way of having had a real relationship with his parents. It was wonderful to hear this on secular radio. The very next caller whose name I did not get, told Bruce that it was going to be Ok, and that there are many brothers out there who will help him and that he will be ok. It was a mini MMC right here on the radio. Isn't Jesus just absolutely wonderful?
Keep praying for brother Angus. Pray for God to remain first, second and third in his life. Pray for his heart to keep humble before God. Pray for his family that he will keep them in their rightful place before God and that his ministry will not take away from this. Pray also for his moving all over Southern Africa and that many will come to repentance and find either a new life in Jesus or a renewed life in Jesus.
Bless you
