The Pear Tree -( to help us not to Judge someone too quickly)
Submitted by Frikkie on Tue, 11/11/2008 - 11:11.
There was a man who had four sons.
He wanted his sons to learn not to Judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away
The first son went in the Winter, the second in the Spring, the third in Summer and the fourth son in the Fall. >> Read More ... >>>

God wil jou genees

>> Read More ... >>>

"Keys to Taking Your Quantum Leap"
Submitted by JohanLabuschagne on Fri, 31/10/2008 - 06:46.
Years
ago, as a young scientist and inventor, I worked with Dr. Bob Moog and
together we gave the music world the first performance keyboards called
Moog synthesizers. I learned to work with electrons and photons - tiny
elements that are so small they can't be seen! Yet these invisible
elements cause all electronic devices to work. This project caused me
to ask the question, "Is there more to our universe than what I can
perceive through my senses?"
My search to learn more about physical reality and how it works led me to discover that quantum physics identifies a large part of our universe to be non-physical. I began to realize that the universe is greater than science has discovered, or can explain. Through quantum physics and spiritual revelation, the Holy Spirit confirmed keys to understanding physical reality. As you read this article, allow the Holy Spirit to let you hear more than I say. >> Read More ... >>>

Worshiping At The Altar Of Success
Submitted by ServeTheProphets on Wed, 29/10/2008 - 09:06.
Though
you may find it hard to believe, there is an addiction more subtle and
more powerful than either drugs or pornography. It's older than
prostitution, more prevalent than alcohol, more addictive than cocaine.
It doesn't discriminate between male and female, black or white, young
or old, rich or poor. Its strength is greater than all other addictions
combined. It's as rampant in the Church as it is in the world. It
leaves the body unscathed but destroys the soul. The vast majority of
people addicted have little if any understanding of its power or perils.

has not only called us as His redeemed people to be a "royal

has also called us to be His prophetic voice. We are to be His oracle

Applying Faith During Economic Fear
Submitted by ServeTheServants on Wed, 29/10/2008 - 06:30.
Applying Faith......When Economic Fear Strikes Tune in to any financial news broadcast, browse any newspaper, note the houses for sale on your own block, and scan your investments and retirement fund and you'll find that bad news abounds. Fear can begin to grip us causing us to either freeze up and do nothing or make erratic, emotional and ultimately poor choices.
Avoiding Unhealthy Fear
The economic earthquake rocking America and the world is bringing great change to the financial landscape. Our choice as Christians is to turn to the Lord for wisdom and guidance rather than become slaves to fear. >> Read More ... >>>
Living Simply in the Lord
Submitted by Steph Kay on Mon, 27/10/2008 - 07:13.
I have just come back from the 2-week break that the Lord gave us, and
for which I am immensely grateful. I feel like I have been living in
the Lord's 'garden' for this time. I finally got to walk on the beach
and promptly burst into tears when I saw the ocean again. I get so
filled to overflowing with joy of our wonderful, great God. Along with
the mountains, it shows me the enormity of God and how small we really
are and how dare we even consider disobeying Him.>> Read More ... >>>
God's Plan for Global Economic Collapse

by Dr. Steven Lambert www.slm.org
In this crucial hour when not only Americans but all peoples of all nations collectively are faced with the catastrophic effects of the most expansive economic collapse in the annals of human history, it is calming, comforting, and cheering to know that the Sovereign and Almighty God has a plan, has eternally known what the plan is, and that His plan-for individual believers and His true Body alike-is not for harm, calamity, disaster, or destruction, but welfare, good, prosperity, peace, and a hope-filled future. >> Read More ... >>>

Boasting in our Weakness

''He
said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made
perfect in your weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather boast in
my weaknesses that the power of Christ may tabernacle over me.'' II
Corinthians 12:9
It is one thing to say
that we cannot make it, and it is another thing to give up trying to
make it altogether. Can we see that these are two things? The first
condition to victory is to realize that we cannot make it, and the
second is to give up trying to make it. If we will admit that we cannot
make it and give up trying to make it, we will overcome.

The Missing Ingredient
Submitted by ServeTheServants on Tue, 23/09/2008 - 15:21.
by Chip Brogden www.theschoolofchrist.org
"And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved" (II Corinthians 12:15).
Besides prayer, no other subject has been talked about more and practiced less than the subject of loving one another. We all know we are supposed to love one another. We have heard it preached a thousand times. But there is a difference between knowing the Path and walking the Path.
I want to speak specifically to the issue of love as it relates to "ministry". That word "ministry" is a loaded word now, and we really need to question someone when they use that word so we can find out what they really mean. I think most people will agree that what passes for "ministry" these days is something very far removed from the ministry practiced in the New Testament. And I am not referring to some kind of method or technique that they practiced. The "missing ingredient" is not something so superficial as meeting in homes versus meeting in buildings. How far we have fallen to think that the secret of New Testament life is found in some way of conducting a meeting. >> Read More ... >>>

Discernment
Submitted by ServeTheKingdom on Tue, 23/09/2008 - 14:16.
The first step to becoming a discerning person
Here is a Biblical truth that may cause some to readjust their thinking: Healings in a meeting are NOT a sign the teachings of a minister are Biblically accurate, nor are they an endorsement by God on an individual or movement, even if it is labeled "outpouring".
Jesus never said 'by their signs & wonders you will know them' or 'if there are healings I endorse the leadership', rather "by their fruits you shall know them." (Mt 7:20) The fruit is NOT signs and wonders, but a minister's character and lifestyle, but more on that later. I am NOT saying anyone is/was a false prophet, just that Jesus said signs and wonders are not the measuring stick.
People who use healings/signs/wonders as a measuring stick to determine if God is pouring out His Spirit misunderstand the heart of the Father, and are not following Jesus' teaching of how to make that determination. Thus, when the minister falls they are confused and hurt, thinking God was endorsing a man or movement or meeting, when in fact he wasn't. >> Read More ... >>>

Where a Desolate Soul Finds God
Submitted by ServeTheServants on Tue, 23/09/2008 - 14:11.Jesus gave the last hours of this age a poignant headline. He called this period "The Great Tribulation." The word rendered tribulation means "grievous affliction or distress; pressure or burden upon the spirit." As we move closer toward the end of this age, we should expect that catastrophic distresses and pressures on man shall increase.
Added to the increasing stress of our times is the decreasing desire of government and society in general to restrain moral decadence. We live in a time when a significant portion of our society is in open and defiant rebellion toward God. >> Read More ... >>>

Extract: The church all over the world right now
is undergoing a new millennium change or reformation.
So this new wineskin is not about
defining how we meet, it's about being the church in the place of work.
It's about the way we think, think about God, think about what He calls
church and think about His world of work. As one person put it
recently, it's about 'churching it' in every area of life that we
represent here.
