The pro-gay marriage movement correctly points out that the professing Church is hypocritical when it comes to marriage.

Vasbyt vir begin 2009 met die versekering dat deubrake kom

God
is verseker besig met
skuiwe op SY groot
wereldskaakbord.
Met die rustiger
feesgety, vir sommiges,
is daar ook meer tyd om
te peins oor wat in die
wereld en ons land aan
die gebeur is. Dis nie
aldag dat engele helder
oordag verskyn, soos die
twee getuienisse
hieronder vertel nie.
Vir 2009 is dit veral
belangrik om die
"tekens van die

te interpreteer, veral in
die lig van wat God deur
sommige van Sy profete
openbaar.

Discernment in a Media Age

that you be judged. For with what judgment you judge, you shall be
judged and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you
again. And why do you behold the mote that is in your brother’s eye,
but do not consider the beam that is in your own. Matthew 7:1-4, KJV
Don't pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults--unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It's easy to see a smudge on your neighbor's face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say,

I have a dream... Do you have a
dream?
What a privilege it is to have this question and this challenge put to
you when you are 6 or 10 or 15 years old.
It is a question that makes the mind create vision and hope for the
future. On our annual Orphans and Vulnerable
Children's Camp we presented this peep into their own futures to 58 children
aged between 6 and 15. A brave policeman
stood up inside the body of a 7-year old.

The Pear Tree -( to help us not to Judge someone too quickly)
Submitted by Frikkie on Tue, 11/11/2008 - 11:11.
There was a man who had four sons.
He wanted his sons to learn not to Judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away
The first son went in the Winter, the second in the Spring, the third in Summer and the fourth son in the Fall. >> Read More ... >>>

Living Simply in the Lord
Submitted by Steph Kay on Mon, 27/10/2008 - 07:13.
I have just come back from the 2-week break that the Lord gave us, and
for which I am immensely grateful. I feel like I have been living in
the Lord's 'garden' for this time. I finally got to walk on the beach
and promptly burst into tears when I saw the ocean again. I get so
filled to overflowing with joy of our wonderful, great God. Along with
the mountains, it shows me the enormity of God and how small we really
are and how dare we even consider disobeying Him.>> Read More ... >>>
REVIVAL AND OTHER EXCITING HAPPENINGS

TO
ALL YOU MIGHTY MEN
I am sure you would agree with me that we are in REVIVAL right now when we look around us and see the manifestation of the Holy Spirit in so many different ways. I have had the privilege of meeting with many different ‘flows', men and woman of God who want to see God's purposes for the Kingdom of God and who are sold out to finding ‘Fathers Heart' for themselves, the Kingdom and for our wonderful land South Africa. You might not agree with some of the ways they are seeking and doing ‘Kingdom Business', but what is that to you; as Jesus said to His disciples; my paraphrase "Stop winging about them, you get on and follow me", I believe the Lord would have us focus on His call to us personally at the same time reaching out to our brothers and sisters in unity as an answer to His cry to the Father, "Make them one as we are one"
REVIVAL is hard work; there is no time to waste expending valuable energy and time ‘winging' about others. It's the time of having FAITH! >> Read More ... >>>

Boasting in our Weakness

''He
said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made
perfect in your weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather boast in
my weaknesses that the power of Christ may tabernacle over me.'' II
Corinthians 12:9
It is one thing to say
that we cannot make it, and it is another thing to give up trying to
make it altogether. Can we see that these are two things? The first
condition to victory is to realize that we cannot make it, and the
second is to give up trying to make it. If we will admit that we cannot
make it and give up trying to make it, we will overcome.

The Missing Ingredient

"And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved" (II Corinthians 12:15).
Besides prayer, no other subject has been talked about more and practiced less than the subject of loving one another. We all know we are supposed to love one another. We have heard it preached a thousand times. But there is a difference between knowing the Path and walking the Path.
I want to speak specifically to the issue of love as it relates to "ministry". That word "ministry" is a loaded word now, and we really need to question someone when they use that word so we can find out what they really mean. I think most people will agree that what passes for "ministry" these days is something very far removed from the ministry practiced in the New Testament. And I am not referring to some kind of method or technique that they practiced. The "missing ingredient" is not something so superficial as meeting in homes versus meeting in buildings. How far we have fallen to think that the secret of New Testament life is found in some way of conducting a meeting. >> Read More ... >>>

Where a Desolate Soul Finds God
Submitted by ServeTheServants on Tue, 23/09/2008 - 14:11.Jesus gave the last hours of this age a poignant headline. He called this period "The Great Tribulation." The word rendered tribulation means "grievous affliction or distress; pressure or burden upon the spirit." As we move closer toward the end of this age, we should expect that catastrophic distresses and pressures on man shall increase.
Added to the increasing stress of our times is the decreasing desire of government and society in general to restrain moral decadence. We live in a time when a significant portion of our society is in open and defiant rebellion toward God. >> Read More ... >>>

When I was a young teenager and used to go to Church youth camps and school Christian camps we were often given talks by various adults about sharing our faith. I remember at the time being handed a booklet with the "4 Spiritual Laws" and "How to share your faith" and so on. I used to page through these booklets with such fear and sweaty palms at the mere thought of having to go and speak to anyone, using these books as a guide.

I believe there is nothing more dangerous to a Christian than to carry around a resentment against God. Yet I am shocked by the growing number of believers I meet who are peeved at the Lord. They may not admit as much - but deep inside, they hold some kind of grudge against him. Why? They believe he's not interested in their lives or problems! They're convinced he doesn't care - because he hasn't answered a particular prayer or acted on their behalf
I received a letter recently from a young man who's incarcerated in a southern prison. This convict was once a committed Christian - but now he says he's mad at God. He wrote: >> Read More ... >>>
