THE GREAT SHAKING

Hebrews 12:26-28 "Whose voice then shook the earth but now hath He promised saying." Yet once more, I shake not the earth only but also Heaven." And this word "Yet once more" signified the removing of those things that can be shaken as of things that are made that these things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore, we are receiving a Kingdom which cannot be shaken ..."

A SUDDEN SHAKING!

It is unlikely that God would, without warning shake the heavens and the earth! It is in keeping with His dealings with mankind in the past that He would first give warning. "Before the Judgement", for this is what this passage speaks of! God never judges without forewarning! There will be a shaking which will cause heaven and earth to pass away, but it will be preceded by lesser shakings! Let me state that everything will be shaken!

THERE WILL BE A SHAKING OF CHRISTIANS!

There will be a shaking of everything made! Somehow it speaks to me of God's Removal Program – a removing of all created things which are not Part of God's Plan for a Perfect Earth and Heaven. No-one knows when this will be and it seems right to expect that things which even we as Christians accept – are not Part of the Perfect Will of God! Let me expound, Christendom will be shaken in this Part of God's Program, in order that God may restore, or should I say replace, many of our man-made ideas which we have implemented in Churches, in order that only those things which appertain to His Rule and Kingdom may remain!

Legislation, concepts of Christianity, Church Organisation, most of our Current Systems, which are not 100% Bible Orientated, and God Ordained, to be part of His Plan for His Kingdom - will be shaken and removed (In God's Economy)

Their will be a shaking of Nations, both demographically and geographically!

The list will be endless! In actual fact a good look at Matthew 24:4-31 Luke 21:25-33

FALSE SECURITY!

Many times we hold onto things - albeit wrong things because we find security in things that are tried and which we see and understand. We are scared of anything new, anything unknown! Most of us find security in tangible things i.e. buildings and visible things such as Organisations! We have a sense of security in our ability, our position, i.e. an ordained minister. Let me state that these things offer a false security and in many respects are not God Ordained! We, the Children of God know that to storeup treasure for ourselves in this world is of no value, yet we see how man finds so much security in wealth and material things! Why have we fallen into the same error??

You can count on it that God will shake everything which you are hiding behind! Some may say "But then in what are we to find that security?" Let me share my own experience with you! For quite some time God had been dealing with me and my wife. In 1978 God spoke to us simultaneously and said "There will come a time when you will have nothing." At the time we received this word, we did not have much materially and had just lost our first child, at birth! We did not understand what more we could lose! But, you see, God is a jealous God, and must have our whole affection!

We all know painful losses but many times there are things which are dear to our hearts and which we hold onto! They offer us a sense of security which is false! It may not necessarily be material, or even human life. It may be an ideal. It may be a pet doctrine or ambition. I could go on and on! The fact remains that we find security many times in some lesser object than God's Love. Almost a year after God had so spoken to us we found ourselves in exactly that position! We were destitute! In a strange town with no work, no money and nowhere to stay! All we had was our little mini clubman, motorcar, with some personal belongings! Now, that hurt! But God touched something far closer to my heart than material things, my ministry! I knew that for a period of time (indefinite but definitely not less than 6 months) I was not to minister! I thought my world had come to an end.

The only consolation was that God spoke to me and said "When I take something away, I always replace it with something better." We entered then into a wilderness period during which we felt ourselves under God's Hand, as clay vessels under a Potter's Hand. Only we were not being moulded but melted to be remoulded! God was touching on things deep down further than the eye could see, deep rooted ideas, impressions, even practices in my life which I had developed as a result of the Christian Environment I was in! And did this hurt! I mean, I thought I was right then! Once again the Spirit of the Lord whispered to me and said "I am dealing with you as a son and no chastening disciplining) seems pleasant at the time but afterwards it produces the peaceable fruit of righteousness!

However, typically of most Christians, a few day's later (or was it years), I was complaining again when the Lord again spoke to me (once more from Hebrews 12) and said "My son, I am shaking everything that you have found security in, so that all that will remain is My Love for You, and you will find security in that Love! Then the Spirit of the Lord began to show me that this shaking was not limited to my individual life, but that He was doing it to other individuals and further than that to whole groups! The shaking would loosen our grip on things which we are clinging to even fighting for and tighten our grip on Jesus. The Purpose is the removal of things which are 'made' and, therefore, which can be shaken so that the things which cannot be shaken may remain! (In 2005 through a prophetic word GOD spoke to me through a minister "you say - how long will I be in this wilderness" ... "but I say to you, not long" ... (There was no way the person could have known what I've shared here!)

This Word was spoken to me in April, 1980. Since then I have come to understand the present move, as one allowed by God to shake ...

1) Traditionalism ...

2) Legalism ...

3) Falsehood ...

within the churches! This move is quite clearly not the ultimate plan, nor can it be considered to be His Perfect Will! I believe any attempt by man to set right what we may consider to be wrong, will be abortive and will in fact create an Ishmael!

In the final analysis, the Lord is in control! He will shake, He will bring to nothing and put to death all that is not of Him and He will raise up a Church in Spirit, that is without blemish.
