How are the Mighty Men doing, two weeks on from MMC?

Dear brothers in Christ

I am sure many of you are coming down to the realities of life after the MMC. I, and I know many other wives around the world have been praying for you every day since your return home. So how are you doing?

Oswald Chambers said in his book, My Utmost for His Highest, that God is found in the valleys as well as the mountain tops, but it is in the mean (ordinary) things of life, that we grow in Him the most (which are in the valleys). That is where the 'working out of our salvation with fear and trembling' occurs. (see Philipians 2:12-13 We cannot stay on the mountain tops as we would never grow into the mature Christians HE wants us to be. That is brought about by a deep working of the Holy Spirit in our hearts in the intimacy of our relationship with Him.

As your sisters, we want to encourage you to Keep the faith, keep up your quiet times and spend time with Him whenever you can. Get into the habit of 'chatting' to Him throughout the day as you would a close friend - ask Him to help you with all of this. Submit to Him in everything that He brings your way. He will test your faith because He loves you and you will grow as a result of it. When you fail Him or feel you've let Him down, He will not condemn you, but lovingly bend down and pick you up, dust you off as a Father would, and say, "here take My hand and let's carry on and do this together." He loves you so much and understands the struggles you face, inside and out in every sphere of your life.

We, as wives are so excited and in praise of our Heavenly Father for the lives of our men that are changing right before our very eyes. We too, are being changed by the Lord, as a result of your obedience to Him. We too face all the struggles in our day-to-day lives. There is a sense of unity amongst His children like I have never seen before. Take heart and be encouraged!

We live in exciting times. He is building His church His way.
