PRAYER DIRECTIVE FOR GOD’S “WATCHMEN”

40 DAY PRAYER / FAST CHAIN

(and ongoing prayer)

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

 

God has shown us clearly that we are at war fighting for the lives of our neighbors living in Amaoti, a community in crisis, living in great darkness, where the devil has reigned for too long. PRAYER IS OUR BIGGEST WEAPON.

 

You are His “watchmen”, the church of Jesus in unity standing shoulder to shoulder disarming the enemy as He prepares to send forth His frontline soldiers (evangelists, musicians, ministry workers etc). Pray Psalm 85 : 6 - 13

 

The following Prayer Directive is a guideline for you to follow during your one hour “watch”.

Our suggestion for the fasting, is to fast the meal before your one hour prayer “watch”.

 

1. Preparation / Empowerment

Ephesians 6:10 & 11 be strong in the Lord, be empowered through your union with Him. Draw your strength from Him in the breaking of bread (communion) and enter His presence with thanksgiving and praise.

Ask God to search your heart for any personal repentance, and then for substitutional repentance (for sins of the past wrongs in our land and sins of the people of Amaoti) 2 Chronicles 7:14

 

1. Protection

Ephesians 6 : 12 & 13 we do not wrestle against flesh and blood…

Take up the whole armor of God……and stand

Ephesians 6 : 14 – 17 stand during “watch” in Jesus’ full armor on guard….

 

Declare as follows: In the name of Jesus, covered by the blood of Jesus, and with His authority I bind all evil spirits around me and at work in Amaoti.

I take up the sword of the Spirit – the Word of God, and in the name of Jesus I cut from all the people of Amaoti and the saints at work in Amaoti during the crusade, every strategy, scheme and assignment of the devil and break its power in all witchcraft practices, curses, hexes and incantations and all mind binding and mind control actions, familiar spirits on assignment and astral spirits. I render you bound and powerless by the blood of Jesus. I loose in Jesus name, the Holy Spirit of peace and truth in and over all people of Amaoti and the saints at work in Amaoti during the crusade.

 

1. Pray in the Spirit

Be encouraged and challenged to press in for 15 minutes.

Ephesians 6 : 18 – pray with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit being watchful…with all perseverance…

1. Prophesy

To the dry bones (of Amaoti) Ezekiel 37 : 1 – 14 to come out of their spiritual graves and receive everlasting life from Jesus. Ephesians 4 : 17 – 19

1. General Prayers

(As the Holy Spirit leads you)

Some guidelines:

Only Jesus to be lifted up (John 12 : 32) – If He be lifted up He will draw all men unto Him.

Pray for the speakers, musicians, artists, laborers.

Pray for thousands and tens of thousands to come to know Jesus and be set free.

Pray for the new converts (that none would be lost)

Pray for God’s wisdom / strategy for after the crusade for disciples / leaders to rise up during the crusade – God’s anointing upon them to GO and preach His word.

Pray for the safety of their homes as the people come to the crusade (Psalm 91 – God’s protection) for many angels to stand guard outside their homes. The safety of all and the tent.

Pray for good moderate weather

Pray for the perpetrators of evil that their plans will be thwarted and that they will come and be saved and transformed.

Pray for the fear of the Lord for the people of Amaoti and not the fear of man.

Pray for them to have courage and to throw away every idol and false doctrine.

Pray for the truth to set them free

Pray for signs and wonders

 

1. Prayer mandate for each praying church

Below is a list of the first churches assigned weeks to pray during the 40 days.

God has shown us the significance of the Names of these churches and directed us to pray around their names during those weeks.

We encourage each church (these and others) to set up a prayer mandate around the name of their church using scriptures to embrace their vision and anointing.

Vision:

To advance the purposes of the Kingdom of God by embracing the love and Lordship of Jesus in all of life: as we honor and serve the wider Church thereby impacting our City and beyond as a resource Church that: reaches out, raises up and releases people into their destiny.

 

Prayer:

Pray for the harvest Mathew 9 : 36 – 38 Throngs incoming (trusting for 10 000) pray we will be moved with the same sufferings, pity and sympathy Jesus felt. Pray for Shepherds to be raised up for they are as sheep without a Shepherd. Pray for laborers to rise up and be thrust into the harvest.

 

Luke 10 : 1 – 11 Laborers to be raised up

Ephesians 4 : 11 Pray for the gifts of men to be revealed and used (5 fold ministry), the different levels of gifting / laboring.

Pray for the perfect and complete equipping of the saints, building up the body of Christ to maturity and Christ’s perfection in truth and love. Harvest must be nurtured and bundled and cared for – pray for the establishment of churches, leaders and cell groups in Amaoti.

We started with a blank page and faith in the Holy Spirit, and we are excited with what has emerged and trust that this final directive is from the Lord.

 

We are seeing God’s bigger picture emerging that goes beyond Amaoti as congregations of many churches pray, in their own homes, in unity (locally and internationally.

 

We are trusting for testimonies from these pray-ers. We believe God will use this directive to bring many members of the Body of Christ to a new level and heart for prayer. We are praying for revival and transformation of their lives.

 

A picture of the order of the different churches who have committed to pray has also become clear, to pray into each church’s name week by week, and we encourage all the pray-ers who are praying throughout the 40 days to take note and pray around these names during their allocated period of praying.

 

We encourage these churches to send in their church‘s mandate (mission / vision) and any scriptures they may receive for their prayer week as well as giving this information to their committed pray-ers.

 

 

May our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, take us beyond what we could ever begin to imagine or believe possible as we work together, the Church of Jesus Christ, in unity.
