Coming out of the Wilderness in Power (Part 1)

By Carter Conlon >> Read More ... >>>

The term “wilderness experience” rarely, if ever, means a time or place of leisure. A wilderness certainly is no oasis. In fact, by definition it is a remote environment devoid of all outward appeal, hope or comfort. It is a hostile place where few would willingly go. Most of us actually would resist going into a wilderness, yet that is exactly where God sent His Son.

GOD LEADS HIS SON INTO THE WILDERNESS

Kingdom Observations and Ponderings

Kingdom Observations and Ponderings I love to ponder the possibilities and creative ways we can please God and serve others. I love to reflect on how things are, and “what if” we changed them. How can we further align ourselves toward His Most Excellent Ways. We only know in part, so it is always good to check what we think that we know often.

These are observations and ponderings can be purposeful to challenge existing paradigms, while firming up Kingdom foundations. Many of these are happening all around us, but what if they were not just the exception, but were consistently happening. What will Father do as His children grow up in becoming more like Him? My prayers are to continually stimulate possibility thoughts towards ways that bring forth His Kingdom through our lives.

Here are my Observations and Ponderings as we move into 2010:

Pray for our leaders rather than complain about who we have or don’t have in office.

God is on the throne and will have His way, regardless of who is in office and we are called to pray for His will and for His purposes to be accomplished for our nation.

Give to Caesar (government) what is Caesar’s, and give to God what is His, which are our very lives.

Jesus was consumed with His Father’s Kingdom being brought to the earth, we must focus on that rather than political processes, and give that burden to Him. Do what you are called to do, and leave the rest to Him.>> Read More ... >>>

"The Power of Unity and Declaring the Word of God"

"The Power of Unity and Declaring the Word of God"Three Yet One—"The Perfection of Unity"

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!

Some years ago, I was pondering the Lord being "One" and yet at the same time the Triune Godhead. I don't mind telling you that it seemed beyond my comprehension as I struggled with how it is possible for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to be three and yet "One." Therefore I asked Him. His answer to me was quite simple, and yet filled with a wealth of revelation. He said, "The perfection of unity.">> Read More ... >>>

24-7 PRAYER CHANGES VIOLENT TOWNSHIPS IN SOUTH AFRICA

Crime drop when we Pray- testimonySource: Joel News Service

In the Summer of 2004, with the help of some sponsors, evangelist Peter Sekhonyane put up a 300-seater tent to facilitate a 24-hour prayer watch in one of the 20 extensions and outer villages of Orange Farm. For three weeks he intensively trained Christians of all churches on prayer and the principles of 24-hour prayer. After three weeks, he decided to move the tent to the next extension, to repeat the process there. In October 2004 seven of these 24/7 prayer watches were up and running at an average of 15 hours per day. Then they combined efforts to launch a week of real 24-hour prayer.

At the end of the week of combined prayer Peter went to the police service station to ask how it went crime-wise during that week. According to their statistics something strange happened: in seven of the 20 extensions there was nearly no crime - exactly the seven in which 24-7 prayer was going on!>> Read More ... >>>

Something special then started to happen. People from townships from across the country started to ask for help.

For the Sake of The Family

Jesus did this for His FAMILYYour very existence torments principalities, powers, and rulers of every realm of darkness. Your very Nature is a Rebuke to the enemy, a reality that causes them to flee. This Power is not just a favor that God gave to those who did not deserve it, but an Authority that was awakened in you as a result of Reconciliation back to the Father.

Jesus Christ died and was resurrected to free us from Sin, a dimension that disconnected us from not only the Father's Hand, but the Father's Nature. Sin, however, was not powerful enough to disconnect us from the Father's love,"for in this, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us," Romans 5:8. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of Christ, Romans 8:35.>> Read More ... >>>

10 Shifts Necessary for City Transformation

10 Needed steps for City TRANSFORMATIONGod has always focused on the city throughout the Scriptures and history. As we understand what God is doing in each of these “shifts” mentioned below, then we will be better able to join Him in the work of transforming our city. We must shift from:

1. Institutions to Individuals, Cities, and Nations – While we as men and women seek to build institutions, organizations, businesses, and governments, God always is looking to build an individual, city, or nation. Within cities and nations, although God uses positions, He is primarily looking for leaders who will have influence for Him.

2. Organizations to Kingdom – We are entering the next phase of what God is using to teach us about His purposes. We have gone from intimacy in the beginning, to separation, the tabernacle, the cross, the Body of Christ, to building churches, to denominations, to Christian organizations, and no to Kingdom. Our focus must be on Him and His Kingdom alone and not our own.

Smile! You’re in a Transition

TransitionsTransition is a good topic this month because of two reasons. First, I suspect that as this year progresses, many of you will experience the most intense time of transition you have faced, and you’ll need to know this topic well. The balance of 2008 will be the “best of times and the worst of times.” For those who do not take the past with them, it will become the best of times. For those who live in the past, it could be the worst of times.

And second, I would like to brief you on a transition in my own life, one that has been some time in the making. >> Read More ... >>>

ITS A TIME TO THINK SMALL - Yes apply the "raindrop principle" in the Kingdom

The Kingdom's "Raindrop Principle"The ways of the kingdom are opposite to the ways of the world. The world says get a vision, think big, set goals, use techniques to build your kingdom (or church).

The way of God's kingdom is different; act in small ways, walk in faith, listen to the voice of God, let Him build His Church.

As individuals He wants us to act small – but together as a corporate body.

It’s the raindrop principle; an ocean is made up of billions of connected rain drops, so with the kingdom of God – you are like a rain drop so do rain drop stuff, to refresh & bring life to others!

Yes the words above is the essence of one of the thoughts that Garry share about Kingdom living. (I will include Garry's text at the bottom.)

This thought still keeps me busy and the Holy Spirit, constantly reminds me of it, the last few months. If this happens I knew there is more to it, than what meets the eye. >> Read More ... >>>

It is the same idea, when Uncle Angus at MMC 08, asked us to "start small", in your family, with your children.

Some feedback from the Mighty Men Conference (MMC 2008)

This was the first view of the World's Biggest tent prepared just for us by Uncle Angus and the Team of "MightyMen-servants"

Yes it is at least 3 rugby fields that is covered by this "colossus" of a tent. Below is the view and the small "specs" at the end above the chairs on the horison are men standing, but so far away that they look like"blips" above the chairs.

What a sight!!

Get a bit of perspective by comparing how high the screens and tent roof is compared to the man in blue at the bottom of the nearest tent post in the centrer . ... yes and there was 16 of these HUGE tentposts.

Waiting for us

RESOLVING CONFLICT

Resolve ConflictConflict is unavoidable. Conflict is worth resolving.

Some people go around conflict, over conflict, or even under conflict, but fail to find an amicable way to go THROUGH the conflict. This is firstly a decision of the will. It secondly is a skill, which can be acquired.

Someone once said: ‘It is more rewarding to resolve conflict than to dissolve a relationship’.>> Read More ... >>>

"THE COMING WAVE"

During the early hours of the morning in December, 1978, I was seeking the face of the Lord, and this is what He showed me ...There will be a wave of God's Spirit, which will not have it's origin with any man or group but in Heaven, from the very throne of God! This move will sweep simultaneously over the Church of God and God's Children, bringing them into a relationship with Himself and each other, far beyond anything previously experienced.

It will be in Holiness, a wave of God's Presence for His Presence manifests itself in Holiness Exodus 3:14.>> Read More ... >>>

This wave will wash over His Church, seeking out all who are looking for and awaiting His Coming and will draw them to Himself!

Feedback from the 5000 , no 7000 men’s camp, held on the “Faith like Potatoes” farm of Angus Buchan in Greytown

After this last MMC 2007, we were informally requested by certain camp members to give feedback on this amazing event, that the Lord used in KZN, to mentor and build “men of faith”. The plan for next year (2008) is a 20 000 + men’s camp on the same farm!

Impressions from some men:

What made the biggest impression on you ? >> Read More ... >>>

Angus discipled the men in exercising their faith. It started with a short teaching on the parable of the 2 fishes and 5 loaves of bread. He thereafter asked the men to eat more than enough for the next meal, knowing that there was food prepared for only 5000 men, although 7000 came!. We all experienced the miracle that the food was multiplied and everyone had more than enough to eat and there were plenty leftovers. There is a saying that the proof of the pudding is in the eating- well all men had enough and there were even seconds all weekend. After each meal there were 12 baskets of food as leftovers! – Faure

The Church in TRANSITION

The Church in TRANSITION

The church is always in transition.  Yet, history is laced with seasons of specific and significant change.  We are in such a season, a time in history where more is changing in days and weeks than changed in years and decades of the past.  One author refers to the present move of God as “Revolution.”

Following are some of my thoughts on the current condition and changes that are being seen in the church, along with what I believe to be God’s intention.  This is not at all comprehensive, and should not be received as more than I intend.  I do hope that these thoughts may have some teaching value and be helpful to some.

Please remember that we all know in part and prophesy in part, and we need one another if we ever hope to come to the fullness of God’s revelation to mankind.  All that any of us can do is faithfully steward what God has given us.>> Read More ... >>>
