National day of repentace for ABORTION in SA - 900 000 babies already murdered

1 Feb 2010

National Day of repentace for AbortionEvery year we lose more pre-born babies to abortion than the combined death toll of crime and car accidents. Since 1 February 1997, over 900 000 babies have been killed in South Africa - by abortion - with tax payers money.>> Read More ... >>>

Legalised abortion is a national disgrace. The 1st of February 2010 will mark the 13th anniversary of the legalisation of abortion on demand in South Africa. For this reason, Christians who respect the Sanctity of Life will be observing 1 February as a day of prayer and repentance for the national sin of abortion. Pastors throughout the country will be preaching on the Sanctity of Human Life on Sanctity Life Sunday (31 January), and congregations in every province will be joining in prayers of repentance.

Adultery

Flirting and AdulteryI Have this burden on my heart to share some thoughts on a thorny matter.

If I have to give this ‘matter’ a title, it will have to be long title like William Wilberforce’s book:A Practical view of the prevailing religion system of professed Christians in the higher and middle classes in this country, contrasted with Real Christianity’.   My title will be the following:

A code of conduct as a helpful aid in protecting Real Christians from the sin of adultery / emotional adultery / marital unfaithfulness and other smaller not-easily recognizable sins relating to Real Christian Marriages and  Friendships.

The essence of this matter I cannot put in better words than those of Frank Peretti  in the introduction to his book, ‘The Oath’>> Read More ... >>>

The 21 Laws of Relationship

by Junior deSouza www.juniordesouza.com >> Read More ... >>>

The 21 Laws of RelationshipIn society, if we break certain laws we go to prison. In relationships also, if we break certain laws we end up in a prison--a prison of loneliness, isolation, and frustration. I call this Relationship Prison. I've been incarcerated there too many times! Weren't you my cellmate?
Most of the time we go on our own. We do not understand concrete laws that govern relationships, and therefore, we break them unknowingly and repeatedly--landing us in prison time and time again. We don't have to go or stay in Relationship Prison!
Happy relationships follow laws, unhappy ones are, more or less, lawless. God strengthen us.

3. You are more concerned about your local church or organization than the good of the kingdom of God and cultural transformation.

The Room (An Essay about a son's vision of his room in heaven)

MY room in HeavenThe Room

17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class.  The subject was what Heaven was like.  "I wowed 'em," he later told his father, Bruce.  "It's a killer.  It's the bomb.  It's the best thing I ever wrote."

It also was the last.  Brian's parents had forgotten about the essay when a cousin found it while cleaning out the teenager's locker at Teary Valley High School.>> Read More ... >>>

Freedom to Fail

MMC09 men on their Knees"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love" (I Jn. 4:18, ESV).

Most of our fears are a consequence of not knowing God well enough. Fear comes from uncertainty. If we are confident, secure, and certain about who we are in Christ, and who Christ is in us, then we won't be worried about what the devil might do, and we won't be worried about what other people might do.

Now folks, that's a lot off your plate. Imagine what a relief it would be to just live your life in friendship with God, unaffected by worries and fears about the devil, unmoved by worries and fears about other people - what they might think, what they might say, what they might do.>> Read More ... >>>

The 45 lessons, life taught a 90 year young granny!

Lessons from a 90 year YOUNG Granny*Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old.*

To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me.
It is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here goes:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.>> Read More ... >>>

Starting a "Place of Safety" can be dangerous, but now there is room for others to come on board!

Starting out HTML clipboard In the November newsletter of OrhanAid  we  heard about the unexpected challenges as they started up their new Place of Safety.
Much can be learned from them as they manage this project to help open doors for other Kingdom builders. They are encouraged as more people start to work together.
Below an excerp from www.OrphanAid.co.za 's November 2008 newsletter, that includes this beautiful rainbow remark: "Springside is a bit like the UN as it is full of people from every tribe and nation, it's wonderful - a real reflection of God's Kingdom.

The Missing Ingredient

Missing LOVEby Chip Brogden www.theschoolofchrist.org

"And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved" (II Corinthians 12:15).

Besides prayer, no other subject has been talked about more and practiced less than the subject of loving one another. We all know we are supposed to love one another. We have heard it preached a thousand times. But there is a difference between knowing the Path and walking the Path.

I want to speak specifically to the issue of love as it relates to "ministry". That word "ministry" is a loaded word now, and we really need to question someone when they use that word so we can find out what they really mean. I think most people will agree that what passes for "ministry" these days is something very far removed from the ministry practiced in the New Testament. And I am not referring to some kind of method or technique that they practiced. The "missing ingredient" is not something so superficial as meeting in homes versus meeting in buildings. How far we have fallen to think that the secret of New Testament life is found in some way of conducting a meeting. >> Read More ... >>>

Invasion of the Glory!

Invasion fo Gods GLORYWhat has been on my heart is the glory of the Lord, that we could have more of His presence and more of Him in our midst. 2 Corinthians 4 tells us that we are earthenware vessels but the treasure, the glory inside of us--is the Lord!

Everyone is running for the gold! Nations prepare for the Olympics and they don't want the silver or the bronze, they want the gold. I feel that the individual cry of our heart is: "Oh Lord, we want the gold!" We want His glory, to know Him better.

From Visitation to Habitation

by Francis Frangipane www.frangipane.org
There had not been a prophet in Israel for more than 400 years. Now, in the spirit and power of Elijah, John the Baptist stood in the Judean wilderness. Lightning flashed from his eyes as his message thundered across the terrain of human souls before him. The storm of God had returned!

Some feedback from the Mighty Men Conference (MMC 2008)

This was the first view of the World's Biggest tent prepared just for us by Uncle Angus and the Team of "MightyMen-servants"

Yes it is at least 3 rugby fields that is covered by this "colossus" of a tent. Below is the view and the small "specs" at the end above the chairs on the horison are men standing, but so far away that they look like"blips" above the chairs.

What a sight!!

Get a bit of perspective by comparing how high the screens and tent roof is compared to the man in blue at the bottom of the nearest tent post in the centrer . ... yes and there was 16 of these HUGE tentposts.

Waiting for us
Below some smaller photos that can be clicked for a better view

Prophecy: "THE JUDGE IS COMING. We Must Be Devoted to Justice--First Toward God, then Toward One Another"

Natural DisastersRick JoynerSome extracts from this HARD but timely word of Rick Joyner:

"No one likes to prophesy troubles, but for those who can see and prepare for them, they are the ones who will escape the consequences of them."

"For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world."

If we judge ourselves, He will not have to do it. That is the easy way. We can fall on the rock and be broken, or it will fall on us and grind us into powder! So let's humble ourselves and repent so that He will not have to discipline us.

Hurricane Katrina was discipline from the Lord, intended to help wake up America and get us to turn to Him. So are the earthquakes, fires, drought, floods, and all of the other natural disasters. God is not doing them to us, but they are the result of the earth being out of whack because her king is man, which God gave to the earth to rule over it, righteously. >> Read More ... >>>

More troubles are coming, not only to America but to the world, unless we repent. Possibly the most devastating disaster in the history of America could be creeping up on us through some of the most beautiful weather conditions imaginable.....

"Walk your talk" by rescuing families - Shooting Incident 30 June 2007 – Anthony van Tonder wounded in Hijacking Ordeal.

Rescuing Families is dangerousWhat happened?

My wife and I were setting up our training room at 596 Alouette Street Elardus Park at around 19.00. The Training room is situated behind the double garage belonging to the tenants residing in the home on the premises, when at approximately 19.10 Michelle heard a commotion through the inter-leading door, peeped through and saw that the family were being held at gunpoint. She swung around, back to the door, saying: ‘They are being robbed!’ I was a bit indecisive and said to Michelle: ‘Run to the office and lock yourself in’. She replied: ‘No, they are being hijacked, they need help. The mom and babies are trapped in the car, please help them!’ I looked around frantically what could be used, and about the same time Michelle said: ‘Hammer!’ I grabbed two of them and went charging through the door, shouting: ’Leave the woman and children alone!’>> Read More ... >>>

SHOULD CHRISTIANS LITIGATE?

Should Christians litigate?Foremost in the mind of any Christian that faces a legal challenge is whether or not they should in fact take a Christian brother or sister to court.

Many many times in my career as a lawyer Christians have approached me to sue family members, to sue people who are in the same fellowship with them, or people who they know also submit to the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. Without fail, they would tell me that they are suing because it is a matter of principle for them, and not about the money.

Without fail, these very same people would, at the end of the process, feel let down regardless of whether or not they were sucessful in the outcome of the matter

There is however not a simple “yes” or “no" answer”, to sue or not to sue.>> Read More ... >>>
