National day of repentace for ABORTION in SA - 900 000 babies already murdered

1 Feb 2010

National Day of repentace for AbortionEvery year we lose more pre-born babies to abortion than the combined death toll of crime and car accidents. Since 1 February 1997, over 900 000 babies have been killed in South Africa - by abortion - with tax payers money.>> Read More ... >>>

Legalised abortion is a national disgrace. The 1st of February 2010 will mark the 13th anniversary of the legalisation of abortion on demand in South Africa. For this reason, Christians who respect the Sanctity of Life will be observing 1 February as a day of prayer and repentance for the national sin of abortion. Pastors throughout the country will be preaching on the Sanctity of Human Life on Sanctity Life Sunday (31 January), and congregations in every province will be joining in prayers of repentance.

"Ja, so sien ek. Wat bou jy?" Ek gee nou nie juis om wat sy bou nie..... "Aag ek weet nie, ek voel maar net lus om in die sand te speel." Die idee trek my nogal aan, en ek trek my skoene uit. 'n Strandlopertjie sweef verby. "Dis 'n vreugde", sê sy. "Dis 'n wat?" “'n Vreugde.” Depressie het aan my geknaag - my lewe was 'n gemors. >> Read More ... >>>

A National Week of prayer against crime, violence and corruption: 23-29 November 2009 for SA

23 Nov 2009
29 Nov 2009

An Initiative  of Jericho Walls Prayer Network  supported by Global Day of Prayer and NIRSA (National Initiative forReformation in SA)

Dear Friends
We are  calling the nation to a week of intense prayer about the issue of violence, crime and corruption in  our nation. All of us are effected by violence. Many suffer. People from all  walks of life and in all suburbs and townships suffer.  Women and  children suffer through increasing domestic violence, caused by alcohol abuse  and other forces that cause violence. Cape Town has been identified as the 5th most violent city in the world and Johannesburg is number 20.  Corruption, crime, violence, violent crime, murder, rape, abortion, domestic violence, etc is rampant in our  nation.>> Read More ... >>>

We want to encourage Christians to take 23-29 November to pray  for one week with all seriousness, repentance and commitment about  this

Adultery

Flirting and AdulteryI Have this burden on my heart to share some thoughts on a thorny matter.

If I have to give this ‘matter’ a title, it will have to be long title like William Wilberforce’s book:A Practical view of the prevailing religion system of professed Christians in the higher and middle classes in this country, contrasted with Real Christianity’.   My title will be the following:

A code of conduct as a helpful aid in protecting Real Christians from the sin of adultery / emotional adultery / marital unfaithfulness and other smaller not-easily recognizable sins relating to Real Christian Marriages and  Friendships.

The essence of this matter I cannot put in better words than those of Frank Peretti  in the introduction to his book, ‘The Oath’>> Read More ... >>>

Confronting Your Industry Culture

Confronting Your Industry CultureExtract:God never allows for situational ethics. There are absolutes in the Kingdom of God. The Word of God does not change because of culture or accepted practice.

It was an "industry practice" to sell doves in the temple. But Jesus never accepted the practice because he knew it was turning a holy place of prayer into a commercial enterprise. It did not matter that it was an accepted practice.>> Read More ... >>>

God calls each of us to operate from a plumb line of righteousness in our work life, no matter the consequence.

Time to Learn Righteousness

God is is Establishing Righteousness worldwide“At night my soul longs for You,
Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently;
For when the earth experiences Your judgments
The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness” (Isa. 26:9).

Fear Among the Nations
There is trepidation among the nations, and indeed there should be. Political leaders strike poses of confidence, yet express anxious whispers and dread when they are alone:

What is happening in our world? Will it get worse?

No one really knows the outcome of this time. But here is what is occurring worldwide: Over the past year the veil of deceit and subterfuge that hid the corruption in many nations is being lifted. God is exposing corruption, whether it is rooted in Wall Street or among politicians or leaders in the church. >> Read More ... >>>

The sense of privilege, that one can live without accountability either to God or to the law of man, is being judged by the Lord. There are no special people who are exempt.

Economic Crises and the Bible

Gold standard- What does God says in His Word? by Martin C. Selbrede www.chalcedon.edu >> Read More ... >>>

The Bible ties a nation's monetary policy to the concept of justice. To God, the two are inseparable. You see how just a society is by examining the foundational nature of its money.
Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

Maintaining Our Prophetic Distance - (also with the politicians)

God has not only called us as His redeemed people to be a "royal priesthood" (I Peter 2:9), functioning as priests to the world, but He has also called us to be His prophetic voice. We are to be His oracle ("mouthpiece") to the world system.>> Read More ... >>>

My journey of sharing my Lord with others

My Journey of sharing the Lord with others >> Read More ... >>>

When I was a young teenager and used to go to Church youth camps and school Christian camps we were often given talks by various adults about sharing our faith. I remember at the time being handed a booklet with the "4 Spiritual Laws" and "How to share your faith" and so on. I used to page through these booklets with such fear and sweaty palms at the mere thought of having to go and speak to anyone, using these books as a guide.

We never know the joy of self-sacrifice until we abandon in every particular. Self-surrender is the most difficult thing - I will if . . . !  Oh, well, I suppose I must devote my life to God. There is none of the joy of self-sacrifice in that.

Depressie

>> Read More ... >>>

Our Becoming Transparent

Transparent as this canoeby Wade Taylor www.wadetaylor.org

“Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.” Revelation 4:6 NKJV

This speaks of those who are in the midst of, and round about the Throne. These are seen as being as a “sea of glass,” or as being totally transparent in the presence of the Lord.

Two Types of tolerance

“We need to be more tolerant” raises the important issue of tolerance and acceptance in a troubled world. We are indeed beset by the “us” and “them” mentality that underlies so much tragic conflict.

But, this underlines a common misperception of tolerance. Many place “tolerance” as the highest virtue, but do not realise that there are two distinct realms where tolerance is applied. This confusion is at the root of much damaging social decay. Firstly, we have what can be termed “belief tolerance”. This is where people accept conflicting beliefs or worldviews as equally valid, mingling truth and untruth for fear of being seen as “intolerant”. We are dragooned into accepting all sorts of conduct and laws promoting immorality in the name of this tolerance. Our painful history of personal intolerance (where white people could not accept the equality of others) is used to muddle the very notion of truth itself. >> Read More ... >>>

Capability without Character Doesn't Work

Rude BossConclusion: God is much more interested in your character than your abilities. When He calls you, He first works on your foundation (character) and later he starts building on top of that which is the visible building (ministry) because He knows the foundation (character) can take the storeys above. God first calls and then equips. This is sometimes opposite than how the present business world operates. >> Read More ... >>>

>> Read More ... >>>

"The Clash of Kingdoms!" - - Competition versus Cooperation & Collaboration

Clash of KingdomsINTRODUCTION
From God's view, there are only two kingdoms. In one, you follow Him and obey His will and ways. In the other there is only worship of self, which is always in competition against God's ways, which are selfless. In this season we need to align ourselves to the culture of His Kingdom and not make the mistake of thinking that western "Christian" culture and Kingdom culture are necessarily the same!>> Read More ... >>>
