HumilityHumility In The FireSubmitted by Dien_die_Manne on Wed, 2010/03/03 - 9:47amYesterday, I spent the day alone doing things that are far richer shared with someone very special, but that was not to be. It was the first Valentine’s Day I have ever spent without those simple wordsY, “I love you” being spoken in my ear by someone who did. While I am confident that day, I spent the day alone doing things that are far richer shared with someone very special, but that was not to be. It was the first Valentine’s Day I better days lay ahead, yesterday was not one of them. But I learned something… The Power of LoveSubmitted by ServeTheWarriors on Mon, 2009/11/30 - 9:12am
Recently, as many of you know, my laptop was destroyed - run over by a semi. People have been curious about how it happened, but the question in my head wasn't how, but why? Why did it happen? The Lord warned me months before that there was going to be an attack against my laptop. I know, it sounds odd, but that is the truth. So, I was very careful to backup and copy everything of any importance.>> Read More ... >>> However, the question "why" still harassed me for weeks after it happened and heavy sadness settled on me. 25 Signs that you ARE Leading from Your Dark SideSubmitted by ServeTheMinistries on Wed, 2009/09/09 - 7:54pm
1. You inwardly celebrate when a colleague or fellow minister falls. 2. Your spirit of competition causes you to inwardly celebrate when other organizations or ministries in your field aren’t doing as well as you. 3. You are more concerned about your local church or organization than the good of the kingdom of God and cultural transformation. 4. You manipulate people to promote yourself and try to make things happen instead of allowing God to open doors and promote you. 5. You look for opportunities to backstab other leaders in your region or field of work. 6. You are driven to succeed to counter your insecurity, poor self-esteem and a sense of insignificance.>> Read More ... >>> 7. You thwart the emergence of other strong leaders in your organization. The desperate ones - (Prophetic word to encourage intercessors)Submitted by RitaM on Mon, 2009/08/17 - 9:18amThe desperate ones There is a spear point of people – for they are not many The path they travel is the narrow one and few (a small in number) will find it. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, 'Lord, do you wash my feet?' Jesus answered him, 'What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.' Peter said to him, 'You shall never wash my feet.' Jesus answered him, 'If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.' Simon Peter said to him, 'Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!' Jesus said to him, 'The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet. But is completely clean. And you are clean, but not every one of you.' John 13:6-10 >> Read More ... >>> It was not unusual for Peter to over react. We are glad, because we can all identify with him and learn from what Jesus said to him. Remember that this is the occasion of Jesus giving his last instructions to the disciples before his death. He is giving them a picture of what service in the kingdom of God looks like by washing their feet. Prayers Like IncenseSubmitted by ServeTheServants on Wed, 2009/06/17 - 9:37pm
The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. - Psalm 141:2 Have you ever wondered about the scriptural tie between incense and prayer? Many of us weren't raised in cultures that use incense on a regular basis, and in fact, for some of us, the only reference point we have for the word might be the thin, rectangular packages we could buy at the local food co-op. When God says that our prayers "rise before Him like incense," many of us have no idea what that actually means.>> Read More ... >>> Why would God refer to our prayers this way? Freedom to Fail
Most of our fears are a consequence of not knowing God well enough. Fear comes from uncertainty. If we are confident, secure, and certain about who we are in Christ, and who Christ is in us, then we won't be worried about what the devil might do, and we won't be worried about what other people might do. Now folks, that's a lot off your plate. Imagine what a relief it would be to just live your life in friendship with God, unaffected by worries and fears about the devil, unmoved by worries and fears about other people - what they might think, what they might say, what they might do.>> Read More ... >>>

Corinthians 12:9 My journey of sharing my Lord with othersSubmitted by Jessie on Sun, 2008/08/31 - 10:14amMy Journey of sharing the Lord with others >> Read More ... >>> When I was a young teenager and used to go to Church youth camps and school Christian camps we were often given talks by various adults about sharing our faith. I remember at the time being handed a booklet with the "4 Spiritual Laws" and "How to share your faith" and so on. I used to page through these booklets with such fear and sweaty palms at the mere thought of having to go and speak to anyone, using these books as a guide. Humility is the opposite of arrogance. Arrogance manifests itself as an attitude of superiority that is displayed through presumption and assumption; supposition that one is better or greater than others without recognizing the gifts, understandings and abilities of others. Smile! You’re in a TransitionSubmitted by ServeTheWarriors on Fri, 2008/06/27 - 8:49pm Transition
is a good topic this month because of two reasons. First, I suspect
that as this year progresses, many of you will experience the most
intense time of transition you have faced, and you’ll need to know this
topic well. The balance of 2008 will be the “best of times and the
worst of times.” For those who do not take the past with them, it will
become the best of times. For those who live in the past, it could be
the worst of times.
And second, I would like to brief you on a transition in my own life, one that has been some time in the making. >> Read More ... >>> Whatever Happened to the Fear of God?Submitted by ServeTheServants on Fri, 2008/05/30 - 5:03pm
If
we want the same level of supernatural anointing that was evident in
the New Testament church, we should also pray for a higher level of
holiness.
