Leading, As One Who Serves

Leading, As One Who ServesLuke 22:24-29 24Also a dispute arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest. 25Jesus said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. 26But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves.>> Read More ... >>>

Facing the giantsGiants are never alone and they are always armed

They posses the land you are about to enter

They are greedy and always want more

They are strong and full of confidence – but when they hear of the victories of Jehovah they become terrified and there hearts melt with fear

I want to share some of my thoughts as I have had a lot of time alone over these last few weeks due to my recovery time needed from the intense cancer treatment. I have had time to think, ponder, reflect, pray, rest—oh yes, rest. I have had time to evaluate once again what I want to do with my life and how I can make the greatest impact on this generation.

"Love Me Where You're At"

Love me Where you areby Francis Frangipane www.frangipane.org

I have discovered that, as we seek the Lord, our most difficult periods can be transformed into wonderful breakthroughs into God's love. For me, one such season occurred during the years 1979 to 1981. The association of churches with which I was aligned had fallen under spiritual deception. Not only were its core doctrines increasingly seeded with New Age influences, but immorality crept in, and key leaders began leaving their wives for other women. I could no longer remain silent. As a result, in 1979 I left my congregation in Detroit, Michigan, where I had served as pastor, and traveled to the organization's regional headquarters in Iowa. I came to plead for repentance. However, after meeting with the senior leaders, I was asked to leave the group.

The 21 Laws of Relationship

by Junior deSouza www.juniordesouza.com >> Read More ... >>>

The 21 Laws of RelationshipIn society, if we break certain laws we go to prison. In relationships also, if we break certain laws we end up in a prison--a prison of loneliness, isolation, and frustration. I call this Relationship Prison. I've been incarcerated there too many times! Weren't you my cellmate?
Most of the time we go on our own. We do not understand concrete laws that govern relationships, and therefore, we break them unknowingly and repeatedly--landing us in prison time and time again. We don't have to go or stay in Relationship Prison!
Happy relationships follow laws, unhappy ones are, more or less, lawless. God strengthen us.

25 Signs that you ARE Leading from Your Dark Side

1. You inwardly celebrate when a colleague or fellow minister falls.25 Signs that You are Leading from Your Dark Side

2. Your spirit of competition causes you to inwardly celebrate when other organizations or ministries in your field aren’t doing as well as you.

3. You are more concerned about your local church or organization than the good of the kingdom of God and cultural transformation.

4. You manipulate people to promote yourself and try to make things happen instead of allowing God to open doors and promote you.

5. You look for opportunities to backstab other leaders in your region or field of work.

6. You are driven to succeed to counter your insecurity, poor self-esteem and a sense of insignificance.>> Read More ... >>>

Unsettled, Resettled, Then Mettle!

Building Character for Kingdom LivingThe pathway toward the Kingdom of God is interesting, isn't it? We think we have made it to the summit only to see another pinnacle to climb. When we think we can relax, plant roots, and get comfortable, all of a sudden - a mighty wind blows, once solid foundations begin to crumble, and we stand there bewildered, asking God, "WHAT NOW?"

Please let me share a bit of our story with you…>> Read More ... >>>

Now THAT's a Community Church

Now THAT is a Community ChurchExtract: "If we become a church of brick and mortar, we may cease to be a church of flesh and blood.”

Our motive should not be to fill these seats, but to empty these seats,” Mercer has often stated to a profoundly unified and supportive congregation. But he admits it has taken a transformational journey to embrace a mindset that would rather see local families with roofs over their heads and food on the table rather than the church having a better sound system.

I think it is important to look at the following story, not as a model, but as an encouragement towards obedience from a community of God's people. We are watching God do many things through His people and there is a divine shift going on that will impact all systems and methods.

Freedom to Fail

MMC09 men on their Knees"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love" (I Jn. 4:18, ESV).

Most of our fears are a consequence of not knowing God well enough. Fear comes from uncertainty. If we are confident, secure, and certain about who we are in Christ, and who Christ is in us, then we won't be worried about what the devil might do, and we won't be worried about what other people might do.

Now folks, that's a lot off your plate. Imagine what a relief it would be to just live your life in friendship with God, unaffected by worries and fears about the devil, unmoved by worries and fears about other people - what they might think, what they might say, what they might do.>> Read More ... >>>

Testimony from a Paramedic at Mighty Men conference 2009. God did a Miracle!!

Mighty Men Praise God!I received this testimony from a good friend of mine who happened to be the Head Paramedic at Mighty Men 09. Hans also was the paramedic on scene when Angus collapsed. It just confirms the power of God and His heart to heal. In addition to that – being on ones knees amongst 200 000 men praying for a healing is an experience to behold – and then feeling the power of God move in that.

 Be Blessed

10 Shifts Necessary for City Transformation

10 Needed steps for City TRANSFORMATIONGod has always focused on the city throughout the Scriptures and history. As we understand what God is doing in each of these “shifts” mentioned below, then we will be better able to join Him in the work of transforming our city. We must shift from:

1. Institutions to Individuals, Cities, and Nations – While we as men and women seek to build institutions, organizations, businesses, and governments, God always is looking to build an individual, city, or nation. Within cities and nations, although God uses positions, He is primarily looking for leaders who will have influence for Him.

2. Organizations to Kingdom – We are entering the next phase of what God is using to teach us about His purposes. We have gone from intimacy in the beginning, to separation, the tabernacle, the cross, the Body of Christ, to building churches, to denominations, to Christian organizations, and no to Kingdom. Our focus must be on Him and His Kingdom alone and not our own.

Mighty Men Praise God!

Faith Like Potatoes - by Angus Buchan

One of the most life changing weekends for "Mighty Men in Christ".

True warriors meet here and see how a farmer "burn" for Christ.

"Walk your talk" and "are you prepare to pay the price" are not uncommon sayings in this company.

This is the example set out to mentor and demonstrate "Faith like potatoes"?

The Kingdom-Driven Life

Discovering God’s Larger Purpose and Our Place in It

Is there a vision broad enough to be the central mission for every Christian, every family, every ministry, organization, institution, and business, yet focused enough to be meaningful to us individually? I submit that there is such a vision, and understanding it offers the cure for all that ails both our souls and our society. >> Read More ... >>>

ITS A TIME TO THINK SMALL - Yes apply the "raindrop principle" in the Kingdom

The Kingdom's "Raindrop Principle"The ways of the kingdom are opposite to the ways of the world. The world says get a vision, think big, set goals, use techniques to build your kingdom (or church).

The way of God's kingdom is different; act in small ways, walk in faith, listen to the voice of God, let Him build His Church.

As individuals He wants us to act small – but together as a corporate body.

It’s the raindrop principle; an ocean is made up of billions of connected rain drops, so with the kingdom of God – you are like a rain drop so do rain drop stuff, to refresh & bring life to others!

Yes the words above is the essence of one of the thoughts that Garry share about Kingdom living. (I will include Garry's text at the bottom.)

This thought still keeps me busy and the Holy Spirit, constantly reminds me of it, the last few months. If this happens I knew there is more to it, than what meets the eye. >> Read More ... >>>

Who’s “In” and Who’s “Out”?

Power without a theology degree? The refusal of an empowered laity has proven the greatest failure of today’s church. The co-dependency of skeptical pastors—protecting their own financial interests—and lazy laity—protecting their own membership privileges has become an insidious addiction. Because of this cozy collusion, the more fervent and faith-filled entrepreneurs are finding their way >> Read More ... >>>
