Prophetic word: Facing the giants

Facing the giantsGiants are never alone and they are always armed

They posses the land you are about to enter

They are greedy and always want more

They are strong and full of confidence – but when they hear of the victories of Jehovah they become terrified and there hearts melt with fear

But you chosen one - LISTEN - the time is here to cross the Jordan

How Human Society Advanced

by Gerald Chester www.strategieswork.com

How Human Society AdvancedThe first man on earth was a farmer. His name was Adam. Adam and his heirs were created to rule God's physical universe (Genesis 1:26–28). This work started in a garden.>> Read More ... >>>

Adam's specific assignment was to “work the ground” (Genesis 2:5 NIV). The Hebrew word used in this text is abad, which is also translated in other texts worship and serve. From the beginning, therefore, the idea of work was rooted in the mandate to rule God's creation and was a vehicle to serve and worship God. This is known by many as the "Creation Mandate" and gives work dignity, purpose, and significance.

Church or Kingdom, Earth or Heaven? Where do you live?

Church or Kingdom, Earth or Heaven? Where do you live?As followers of Christ, our continual call is upward. The directive "come up here" in Revelation 4 is the recurrent appeal of heaven. The direction of God's intent for our lives is always above what we have known and where we have trod. Yet the "upward" direction, the "above" life may not be "up" in any physical sense. "Up" in the realm of the Spirit may well be "in" or it may merely be an awareness, a discernment of something unseen yet authentic.

A dictionary description of the word "up" yields in part, "with greater intensity, in or into a better or more advanced state; into evidence, prominence, or prevalence, and into operation or practical form; into possession or custody."

Could it be that the current generation of followers of Christ is experiencing a revealing from heaven of something "coming into evidence, prominence or prevalence?" Something, which is coming into operation in a "practical form?" Something the Bible describes as the kingdom of God?>> Read More ... >>>

Extract: Two statements that Francis Frangipane makes on praying people, hit hard:

(1) "The reality God has planned will always manifest first in the prayer life of His intercessors.

(2) "Prayer warriors are the most frightening, powerful, demon-chasing, world-moving beings on earth."

Revelatory Prayer

The apostle Paul prayed more than he preached. I conclude this from his own confession that he "ceased not" to make mention of the Ephesians in his prayers. This is the same man who exhorted us to pray without ceasing, 1Thes 2:13, 5:17, 2Tim 1:3 with Eph. 6:18. He wouldn't ask what he didn't do himself.

Why so much prayer when he had so much revelation? He was an excellent teacher despite what some thought. No one had his revelations. They form the cornerstones of New Testament doctrine. One would think that the teachings themselves would have such weight of influence that they would automatically accomplish what they revealed. They didn't and they couldn't and he knew it. He knew that something more must be added to what he taught in order to drive in the truth.

This something more was prayer and specific prayer. Not just any prayer would do, but prayer aimed at penetrating the inward man to reveal something that would ultimately take over the believer. He knew that what one beholds is what one is conformed to or better, transformed into. >> Read More ... >>>

Applying Faith During Economic Fear

Applying Faith during economic FEARApplying Faith...
...When Economic Fear Strikes
Tune in to any financial news broadcast, browse any newspaper, note the houses for sale on your own block, and scan your investments and retirement fund and you'll find that bad news abounds. Fear can begin to grip us causing us to either freeze up and do nothing or make erratic, emotional and ultimately poor choices.
Avoiding Unhealthy Fear
The economic earthquake rocking America and the world is bringing great change to the financial landscape. Our choice as Christians is to turn to the Lord for wisdom and guidance rather than become slaves to fear. >> Read More ... >>>

THE SAINT MUST WALK ALONE

"The man who has passed on into the divine Presence in actual
inner experience will not find many who understand him. A certain
amount of social fellowship will of course be his as he mingles
with religious persons in the regular activities of the church, but
true spiritual fellowship will be hard to find.

The Most Valuable Gift in the Times to Come-- Knowledge and Wisdom to Know What to Do

Know What to DoBy Rick Joyner.
The Church is going through a transition right now. The form of the Church that has evolved through the last few centuries will not be able to survive the coming times. Like John the Baptist was honored by the Lord, we should honor the Church of the past for all that it has accomplished. But another type of leadership is being raised up that we must now follow. One will decrease and one will increase.

As we have discussed, leadership in a transition is different from the type of leadership that may be effective in other times. The leader in transition must discern the times and know how to respond to them. The Lord had a severe rebuke for those who knew the signs of the weather better than they understood the signs of the times. In recent times, weather forecasting has become increasingly accurate, but, in general, the Church's discernment of the times does not seem to have kept up, but it will. How? >> Read More ... >>>

Mark 11:23 Works for the Devil Too!

The Enemy SHOUTS!

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23

The devil loves to make a playground out of people's minds and imaginations. He delights in filling their perceptions and senses with illusions that captivate them, paralyze them, and ultimately destroy them. How can believers avoid falling victim to the devil's attacks? They must make a spiritual and mental decision to take charge of every thought that enters their minds!>> Read More ... >>>

Taking your thoughts captive

Adjusting to the Government of The Holy Spirit

by Chip Brogden www.theschoolofchrist.org>> Read More ... >>>

Let me explain to you, as best I can, what I am hearing and seeing by the Spirit of God.  He is bringing me through a very deep and very penetrating season of adjustment.  Now I just love that word adjustment.  Adjustment.  I know it is uncomfortable and disconcerting to have the sense that everything you thought you knew is wrong (or at best, incomplete), and God shows you a different way, a more excellent way, and usually that "way" is not a way that you would have chosen or come to on your own.  It is not a process that anyone particularly enjoys going through.

Dynamics of Focus and Faith

FocusThe problem with most people is they never calculate their lives and actions, and just fall right into temptation because they never set up overarching values to guide their steps.

My firewalls of protection: I have already calculated how I am going to live my life by basing it on five priorities that serve as a guide and framework that determines what I value and practice in my life. These five priorities serve as a firewall of protection and inform me regarding all decisions and actions in my life. >> Read More ... >>>

For me to sin (for example, commit adultery) these five layers would have to be penetrated. Whatever I do cannot violate:
A. My fellowship and relationship with the person and presence of God.
B. My sense of purpose and destiny.
C. My love and commitment to my wife.
D. My love and commitment to my children.
E. My love and commitment to my church and the body of Christ.

Advancing Through Adversity

One of the devices of the enemy is to engage us and consume us with self. Self wants to be comforted. Self desires the easy road, the easy life. Self wants to protect itself by not going out on a limb or really ever stretching your faith. Self wants to livComfort restrict mee a balanced life neither hot nor cold… That is a scary thought according to Revelations 3. I like the way the Message version reads;

Comfort, disappointment, and fear are three of the greatest enemies of our souls. We can be lulled into ineffectiveness for the Kingdom of God in the comfort of our lives. We can become weary and stagnant from affecting our spheres in this world because of disappointment. Fear can paralyze us so that we retreat from the battle of life, Jesus and the Word of God, promised we would face>> Read More ... >>>

It’s amazing, but it’s in the midst of spiritual warfare that I feel most alive and excited for God,

Hello friends and partners ,

I realize that it has been a while since I’ve sent out my last e-mail, but my delay has mainly been due to the fact that 2007 has, thus far, not been a very kind year. That said, it has definitely been a walk in the park compared to 2006.

As always the Lord has been good and each day I reflect on the fact that I never want to be without Him. These past two weeks have been “spiritually intense” for me as I’ve been feeling something tense happening in the spirit world. Admittedly I went through a few weeks of spiritual slumber until one day I felt God tap me on the shoulder and say, “Oi, it’s time to wake up and pray now. You’re needed.” It’s amazing, but it’s in the midst of spiritual warfare that I feel most alive and excited for God, even when the warfare manifests itself in the worldly realm to be a bad situation for me. Even though I may not like the situation, I know that it will pass because I have God on my side and it is through the situation that I will grow stronger in Him. What I have learnt, however, is that when the warfare doesn’t let up for a considerable period of time that is when we tend to get worn down to almost the point of defeat due to spiritual exhaustion. Look at what happened to Elijah: he witnessed God sending down fire from heaven and then had 400 priests of Baal killed. Thereafter he ran and hid out of fear from Queen Jezebel. In his tired and exhausted state, suffering from severe spiritual weariness and tension, he pleaded with God to end his life (haven’t we all been there before). Even when we’ve reached the point where we may have felt we’ve let go, God is still holding on to us.>> Read More ... >>>
