"Restoring the Moravian Fire: The Power of Persistent Prayer">> Read More ... >>> I want to share some of my thoughts as I have had a lot of time alone over these last few weeks due to my recovery time needed from the intense cancer treatment. I have had time to think, ponder, reflect, pray, rest—oh yes, rest. I have had time to evaluate once again what I want to do with my life and how I can make the greatest impact on this generation. Foundational Prayer Before Crisis or BlessingSubmitted by ServeTheWarriors on Mon, 2009/07/20 - 2:29pm
Revelatory PrayerSubmitted by ServeTheServants on Sat, 2009/04/11 - 2:19pmThe apostle Paul prayed more than he preached. I conclude this from his own confession that he "ceased not" to make mention of the Ephesians in his prayers. This is the same man who exhorted us to pray without ceasing, 1Thes 2:13, 5:17, 2Tim 1:3 with Eph. 6:18. He wouldn't ask what he didn't do himself. 24-7 PRAYER CHANGES VIOLENT TOWNSHIPS IN SOUTH AFRICASubmitted by Andre du Toit on Wed, 2009/03/04 - 7:43pm
At the end of the week of combined prayer Peter went to the police service station to ask how it went crime-wise during that week. According to their statistics something strange happened: in seven of the 20 extensions there was nearly no crime - exactly the seven in which 24-7 prayer was going on!>> Read More ... >>> Something special then started to happen. God
is verseker besig met
skuiwe op SY groot
wereldskaakbord.
Met die rustiger
feesgety, vir sommiges,
is daar ook meer tyd om
te peins oor wat in die
wereld en ons land aan
die gebeur is. Dis nie
aldag dat engele helder
oordag verskyn, soos die
twee getuienisse
The Prophethood of the BelieverSubmitted by ServeTheProphets on Fri, 2008/06/27 - 10:04pm Seldom
have I met a believer that has not struggled maintaining a consistent,
disciplined prayer life. I know this has been a challenge in my own
spiritual journey. I have found it easier to study the Bible, meditate,
worship, tithe, and exercise all the other disciplines of the Christian
life (with the possible exception of fasting), than it has been to pray.
How can we overcome this lack of prayerfulness? Why do we have this “mass discipline problem” when it comes to prayer? Do we not love God and want to spend time in His presence? Why then is our prayer life so far from what we know it should be? Is the issue lack of discipline? Certainly, a consistent prayer life takes discipline; there is no way around that fact. But, the lack of discipline is rooted in a lack of vision. True vision is what motivates us to be disciplined. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision the people are unrestrained”. Invasion of the Glory!Submitted by ServeTheKingdom on Fri, 2008/06/27 - 8:08pm What has been on my heart is the glory of the Lord, that we could have more of His presence and more of Him in our midst. 2 Corinthians 4 tells us that we are earthenware vessels but the treasure, the glory inside of us--is the Lord!Everyone is running for the gold! Nations prepare for the Olympics and they don't want the silver or the bronze, they want the gold. I feel that the individual cry of our heart is: "Oh Lord, we want the gold!" We want His glory, to know Him better. It’s amazing, but it’s in the midst of spiritual warfare that I feel most alive and excited for God,Submitted by Reaching Out on Wed, 2007/02/28 - 6:18am![]() Hello friends and partners ,I realize that it has been a while since I’ve sent out my last e-mail, but my delay has mainly been due to the fact that 2007 has, thus far, not been a very kind year. That said, it has definitely been a walk in the park compared to 2006. As always the Lord has been good and each day I reflect on the fact that I never want to be without Him. These past two weeks have been “spiritually intense” for me as I’ve been feeling something tense happening in the spirit world. Admittedly I went through a few weeks of spiritual slumber until one day I felt God tap me on the shoulder and say, “Oi, it’s time to wake up and pray now. You’re needed.” It’s amazing, but it’s in the midst of spiritual warfare that I feel most alive and excited for God, even when the warfare manifests itself in the worldly realm to be a bad situation for me. Even though I may not like the situation, I know that it will pass because I have God on my side and it is through the situation that I will grow stronger in Him. What I have learnt, however, is that when the warfare doesn’t let up for a considerable period of time that is when we tend to get worn down to almost the point of defeat due to spiritual exhaustion. Look at what happened to Elijah: he witnessed God sending down fire from heaven and then had 400 priests of Baal killed. Thereafter he ran and hid out of fear from Queen Jezebel. In his tired and exhausted state, suffering from severe spiritual weariness and tension, he pleaded with God to end his life (haven’t we all been there before
). Even when we’ve reached the point where we may have felt we’ve let go, God is still holding on to us.>> Read More ... >>>THE POWER OF BLESSING--WILL PUT OUT THE FIRES OF HELL"Submitted by ServeTheKingdom on Mon, 2007/02/26 - 1:50pm
I once knew a young girl who seemed to have much going for her, but consistently failed in many areas of her life. I could not understand why--she seemed to choose failure over a successful, happy life. She was beautiful, talented, and intelligent, but it was obvious that Sustaining Revival In The MarketplaceSubmitted by ServeTheServants on Thu, 2007/02/01 - 11:38pmFleeting Revivals - The Church has historically seen remarkable revivals that brought about new experiences and new doctrine that have brought us into a closer relationship with the God of scripture.>> Read More ... >>>
Ten Points that Contrast the Corporate & Church ModelsSubmitted by ServeTheServants on Thu, 2007/02/01 - 11:18pmby Joseph Mattera www.josephgmattera.com Ten Points that Contrast the Corporate Model from the Church Model Many pastors are reading books on leadership and marketing written by corporate leaders or folks speaking from an American corporate ethos. Oftentimes the biblical ethos in regards to the local church model is missed. The following 10 points show the difference between the two models: 1. The corporate model views others of their business ilk as their competition; the church model should be one of identifying ways to network and partner with churches in the community.>> Read More ... >>> 2. The corporate model hires outsiders for the best possible laborers; the church should primarily grow their workers from within. Pro- Active Prayer - case study - Lesotho mission tripSubmitted by Gideon Uys on Tue, 2006/10/24 - 10:14pmTwo weeks before we went Lesotho for a mission outreach, we came together to pray for the weekend. It was adults and children who were going on the trip. We all simply prayed for the weekend to be a success for the Lord and asked that He address all problems beforehand. Well, we went on the trip and from the moment we went nothing but nothing went wrong. The cars went well, nobody got injured or sick, nothing went wrong the whole weekend. Truly God’s grace was with us. It was a proof that God has given us the right strategy = pro- active prayer. Pray beforehand and be the enemy one ahead. Pray and be stand still see God bring victory and salvation.>> Read More ... >>> God has a purpose for people groups (nations) and places (Cities) - Lets investigate!Submitted by Cross Connections on Sun, 2006/10/15 - 4:37pmGod is a God of Order! Pro Active Prayer - pray that the problems Don't START!Submitted by JohanLabuschagne on Sun, 2006/10/08 - 4:57pmAre we busy killing the fires and NOT trying to eliminate the firestarters? How do we pray? reactive or proactive. We had followed this principle of proactive prayer addressed by Gideon during the Spring Festival'a organising. As we got there, there were three boys in the park. Immediately I felt the presence of an evil spirit. Before, I would deal with the person instead of the evil spirit. This day the Holy Spirit said to me to address and rebuke the evil spirit, which I did. Then thereafter nothing materialised and all was OK and peaceful.>> Read More ... >>> |
