Ons staan aan die voorpunt nie net van ‘n nuwe jaar nie, maar ook ‘n nuwe dekade.

 Ons moet onsself, as Afrikaners, elkeen individueel en ook korporatief afvra, wat doen ons hier? Party van ons vra selfs die vraag, hoort ons hier in Afrika, ons, die Afrikaners van Afrika?

 Ons is ook voortdurend in ‘n stryd gewikkel met onsself – wat/wie is ons?  Die sekerhede van die verlede waarmee ons 40 plussers mee grootgeword het bestaan doodeenvoudig nie meer nie, en dit wat die jonger geslag by ons hoor inspireer hulle nie juis vir hulle toekoms, in of buite Afrika nie.

 Ons bou op ‘n verkeerde model en poog om steeds ons identiteit te vind in Afrikaner-Nasionalisme, en dan het ons nog  die vermetelheid om dit so ‘n Christelike geurtjie te gee, en te se ‘Christelik-Afrikaans’.   Ons poog om die sogenaamde Christelike Nasionale karakter uit te leef ook in ons skole, en ons verwar kultuur met geloof.

  I have discovered that, as we seek the Lord, our most difficult periods can be transformed into wonderful breakthroughs into God's love. For me, one such season occurred during the years 1979 to 1981. The association of churches with which I was aligned had fallen under spiritual deception. Not only were its core doctrines increasingly seeded with New Age influences, but immorality crept in, and key leaders began leaving their wives for other women. I could no longer remain silent. So here we were—we had left our church, we had no money, and we had four little children and couldn't afford even basic housing.

I Have this burden on my heart to share some thoughts on a thorny matter.

If I have to give this ‘matter’ a title, it will have to be long title like William Wilberforce’s book:A Practical view of the prevailing religion system of professed Christians in the higher and middle classes in this country, contrasted with Real Christianity’.   My title will be the following: 

A code of conduct as a helpful aid in protecting Real Christians from the sin of adultery / emotional adultery / marital unfaithfulness and other smaller not-easily recognizable sins relating to Real Christian Marriages and  Friendships.

The Vision God gave was to rebuild broken walls and gates in South Africa and proclaim the Lordship of Christ over South Africa and praying that the nation will return to God.  The Purpose was to intercede for the nation of South Africa; repenting of our iniquity and sin and ask God to restore and heal our nation.

Why Durban as the point of closure? I have often wondered why myself, and on Saturday all this came together.  Previously Durban was named Port Natal. 'Natal' refers to birth and as the biggest harbour in Africa, with the port basin in a womb-like form and the closure facility at the office of Customs & Excise - the gate keeper to the port - it was all very significant in reflecting the birth of something new and huge. God does not go small!

Church failure is directly related to congregations isolating themselves from the Kingdom of God and re-organizing according to their own ideologies. Failure is unknown in the Kingdom. Jesus promised the church that the "gates of Hell shall not prevail against it". Matthew 16:18. The New Testament acknowledges the reality of the church's persecution and pain but not her failure. She can expect tyranny and trial but not defeat; demonic attack will come but she need never surrender.

Jesus preached about "The gospel of the Kingdom," Matthew 24:14, "The mysteries of the Kingdom," Matthew 13:11, "The keys of the Kingdom," Matthew 16:19, "The word of the Kingdom," Matthew 13:19, "The heirs of the Kingdom," James 2:5. Jesus "loved the church, gave Himself for it," Ephesians 5:25, all the while He pointed men's hearts to the heavenly Kingdom. We are to love the church as Jesus did but our emphasizing segregated parts of the church independently of the Kingdom is a contradiction of His message. Denominationalism is an illusion, a phantom in the desert.

We must fully understand that the Father's objectives are "global," and that He has placed an assignment of destiny and the seasons of it's fulfillment in His sons, no matter where they "may be scattered in the earth." His Vision and Prophetic Hope is global, and not strictly contingent to the "nation in which we live and show our loyalty." This realm is the Kingdom of God and it is in full operation in "the souls of His People," and not strictly on a "nation itself."

He sees a nation as a "people," not simply as people "separated unto their own selves, with their own name." He sees a people, globally, that are called out "to Himself," no matter where their borders may be. The prophetic dimensions of our lives must transcend the "borders and objectives" in which "we live" in order to "see and perceive" the full picture of God's Purposes and Hope in all people.>> Read More ... >>>
