Seminar on prayer for the land- in Durban

15 May 2010 08:30
15 May 2010 12:00

SOUL SURVIVOR, the U.K. based group who are currently standing alongside local churches in a variety of projects, is sending an intercessory team to Durban in July-August. Their heart is to prayer walk the city, shaping the CROSS over the strategic section of the original Durban town. To this end they plan to walk from a northern point to the city centre on Saturday 2 August, from the west on Sunday 3 August, from the south on Friday 8 August, and from the centre to the east on Sunday 10 August.  The proposed walks will be about 10 kms each, and will involve much of each day.  For further information contact Rach on 079 777 8166 or Pastor Jean Viljoen 031 2412623 and see attached brochure for Full info.

Durban's New Airport! Praise GOD for His will and that He choose to revealed it, through some of His servants!

Durban's new Airport takes OFF

The new airport announcement is really very exciting for the economic future of KZN and should be seen as the outworking of Gods intended destiny of the people of this province – so long imprisoned in a second class mindset that frustrated the hopes and dreams of thousands of would be doctors, academics, engineers, businessmen, and perhaps, most importantly, of moms and dads who desperately wanted something better for their children.

The stage is now set for us to dream again and to be thrust forward on the wings of fresh hope.

A brief look at our recent history will give us a glimpse of how God orchestrated the efforts of local businessmen and aspiring new era politicians to envision and galvanise the province into embracing a new mindset. . . . Read More ... >>>

Practical Prayer manual - that also explain how to determine a Cities calling ! R50

On behalf of the land
A prayer manual for any city. For those frustrated by the apparent hopelessness of crime, poverty, violence and corruption, and the many other social ills that impact with frightening frequency on our lives this manual brings fresh inspiration through the power of prayer. It is designed to guide intercessors in prayer for the land God has entrusted to them in accordance with Acts 17:26.The four modules deal with God’s heart for cities, the personal life and walk of the intercessor, factors to consider in determining God’s prophetic calling over a city, and spiritual dynamics encountered in strategic prayer. The author Jean Viljoen is ordained in the Full Gospel Church of God in SA. She has a teaching ministry and leads an interdenominational prayer group for the city. The cost of this excellent and extremely practical manual is R50 and can be ordered from Jean at 031-2612623

God has a purpose for people groups (nations) and places (Cities) - Lets investigate!

God is a God of Order!

He always has a plan for a  special people group- The Jews

In Revelation He speak only to the Church in a City (Not churches, ministries, organisations or denominations in those cities.)

Lets grow together and see what the Holy Spirit is revealing to the Corporate Body during this season. The more different inputs we can get from God's variety of people the more clearer the picture will be.

NET vision for Durban - Networking was more passionate after this - Feb 2004

CrossConnections.network received this encouraging networking vision  in February 2004

Subject: note from Mariet Durban
Thanks for your very valuable informative and useful network coordinating.
I would like to share the vision the Lord has been giving me over a few months.
I've unintentionally tuned into Radio Pulpit's program Mosaic on a Tuesday morning. The presenter interviews different people with a wide range of ministries and invariably someone would phone afterwards requiring a telephone number in order to connect with a previous interviewee. I became intensely aware of the tremendous variety of ministries varying in size and focus.
It was then that the Lord showed me a catch net such as used in the circus which would safe guard a trapeze should they fall. I sensed He was saying that the different ministries in our country manned by 'insignificant' people who have a heart that reaches out to those in need as He shows them, form the strands of this net. The more ministries the more strands and the smaller the holes preventing more people from falling through.

Now, I also sensed that there should be a 'network' that will list every single ministry in our country - not evangelisation/mission ministries - ministries tending to needs in the society /market place we live in - yes with the purpose of sharing the love of the Lord Jesus and Father God. If a mission does reach out to the community that should be included.
It should go on a website and it has a three-fold purpose viz:
(1)- that these ministries are able to network with one another - learn, encourage and even widen the range of the particular focus of a ministry
(2)- that the world and the population become aware of the reality of the practical love of Jesus in our country
(I've heard that non-government institutions do 87% of all social work in SA and I am convinced that Christian individuals and groups do the majority)
(3)- and lastly, we are to hold a Christian 'Indaba' as we have for the tourist trade in Durban in the future
