Three weeks into Crusade- Many continue to be healed, delivered, set free…. Now they need to be nurtured, cared for, loved…
Isaiah
58:9-11 ....you shall call and the Lord shall answer you; you shall cry,
and He will say, here I am…
Quote from Bono (lead singer of U2) from his speech at the U.S.A. National Prayer Breakfast in 2006:
“Where is God?....God is with the vulnerable and the poor. God is in the slums, in the cardboard boxes where the poor play house. God is in the silence of a mother who has infected her child with a virus that will end both their lives. God is in the cries heard under the rubble of war. God is in the debris of wasted opportunity and lives, and God is with us if we are with them. ‘If you remove the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, and if you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness and your gloom will become like the midday and the Lord will continually guide you and satisfy your desire in scorched places’ (9-11)
It is not a co-incidence that in the scriptures, poverty is mentioned more than 2,100 times. It’s not an accident. Thus saith the Lord: ‘bring the homeless and poor into the house, when you see the naked, cover him, then your light will break out like the dawn and your recovery will speedily spring forth, then your Lord will be your rear guard.’ (Isaiah 5-8). Stop asking God to bless what you are doing. Get involved in what God is doing – because it’s already blessed”. (unquote)

The Message
Week Three started with Elliot Sonjica on the first 2 nights. His message of true freedom - repentance and the importance of giving your life to Jesus was simple and powerfully anointed, even capturing the attention of the children! (1 John 1:9).
We were truly blessed to have Lydia Meshoe rearrange her busy schedule to minister to us on Wednesday.
She spoke powerfully and directly, especially to the young who think that condoms are the answer. A few of the young adults and teens walked out but the word was spoken over them and we are trusting for the Holy Spirit to keep bringing to their conscious minds this spoken word, that it will not return void. Others clapped and cheered.
Rory Dyer, from Glenridge, spoke on Friday to over 5,000 people, on the Father’s love for each one. He called up those who had never known a father’s love, and those who had been abused, raped and rejected. Many stood up and received the healing rain from their Father in Heaven. (A couple in Kloof praying at the same time, saw in the Spirit, Healing Rain pouring down over Amaoti people..) God is so faithful…
The Ncendweni Christ Ambassadors Singers drove from Swaziland straight to the crusade arriving at 8.45pm and went on to perform for over an hour! They are famous among the African people with their gospel music (worship focused). To see and hear all the people of Amaoti in the tent singing along with them, as they led them in praise and worship, was amazing.
God had shown us that we need to focus on praising Him for further breakthrough, so the Saturday night speaker was cancelled and the Ncendweni Christ Ambassador Singers led them (over 5,000) for two and a half hours of worship and praise that nearly brought the roof down. What a blessing. The altar call was so big we abandoned the registration!!!!!
The next day this wonderful family of singers drove back to Swaziland at 3am to be back in time for another function.. Such commitment to Jesus we haven’t seen before… (They arrived back from Canada the night before coming to the crusade!)
Sunday night Elliot Sonjica was back and gave a wonderful description on “adoption” into the family of God when we receive Jesus. He used an illustration by calling up his little son and sharing the story of how he and his wife adopted this child when he was cast out of his home and left on the streets.. Many children were there who are in a similar position and they poured up to receive “adoption” into the Family of God.
Friends we have so much work to do to help these children feel loved and part of His Family.. God is calling many to reach out to these kids, as well as the teens and adults…
Many continue to be healed, delivered, set free…. Now they need to be nurtured, cared for, loved…
The Amaoti community have been amazed at how we have been handling the children, firmly but with so much love… We commend all the ushers involved.. You have been wonderful…
The kid’s ministry on Saturday and Sunday mornings have seen over 1,200 children being children, full of laughter. Yesterday, as we watched them, a group ran and skipped as they were called to receive their chips and drinks, with so much joy on their faces…
Thank you churches, who have willingly allowed God to stretch you, you are truly the church of Jesus Christ, in action.
When Joyce Meyer opened her conference in Gauteng, she said that God had shown her that He is uniting His church…Amen. What joy to know that we are in His plan for this time.
The daily discipleship training has seen over 100 new converts well grounded and another 23 young and old were baptised on Sunday afternoon. We are going to continue with this foundation course after the crusade to make sure all who come to the church on Sundays will have a solid start to their journey with Jesus.
An elderly man received his sight back in his one eye..
A lady brought her young daughter who has been tormented by demons. The child’s face was clouded over and she was cowering behind her mother. The lady had taken her to witchdoctors and sangomas but she got worse… We prayed over her and God was so gracious as HE gently set her free. The next day they brought all their idolatry stuff given by the sangomas and they burnt it behind the tent. They come every day and the joy on the little girl’s face is a picture to behold. On Sunday mother and daughter were both baptised.
The lady with a stroke, who couldn’t walk on her own and had to be assisted onto the stage to be prayed for last week, was baptised and walked unaided and healed to receive her bible…
We encourage all the churches to join us on the final night, this Sunday 28th from 6pm, for a mighty celebration and thanksgiving… Benjamin Dube is coming so we are expecting the biggest crowd so far…we are trusting the Holy Spirit for a final huge outpouring in Jesus Name..Amen.
The church going forward:
The Councillor of Amaoti has verbally given us permission to keep the tent on the site. Please continue to pray that all opposition will be cast down and out…
Pray for direction from Him and not our own ideas and plans…
The vision, going forward, is for all the churches, who have partnered us during the crusade, to stay united and continue to serve, (under gird, equip and train) the new and potentially very large Amaoti Community Church. On Wednesday morning, one of the regular helpers had a dream of a church built on the site. It is a double storey building with the crèche and Bible School at the bottom, and a 10,000 seater hall at the top!!!!
That night Lydia, whilst praying for us after the service, prophesied that a 10,000 seater, double storey church would be built on the site!!!!
When a vision terrifies you, they say it usually is of God.. We wait on the Lord and take one step at a time..
A word received on Sunday regarding the vision and work in Amaoti:
Proverbs 24:25. Finish your outdoor work and get your fields ready, after that, build your house. The Message Bible translation, says it this way; ‘first plant your fields then build your barn.’ The person believes it is confirmation of the local church to be planted after this incredible month of ploughing and sowing of this mighty harvest field. May God continue to richly bless..’
Luke 5:6.. “They caught a great number of fish, and as their nets were at the point of breaking, they signalled to their partners in the other boats (churches) to come and help them..”
We can no longer count how many have raised their hands and acknowledged Jesus as Lord… Thousands have received Him..
Tich and Joan
