Two weeks Into Crusade- "Turning Point"

We reached the climax on Thursday night when over 5,000 poured in to hear Kabelo singing – every criminal and gangster with their gangs came.. In excess of 2 thousand acknowledged Jesus as their Saviour as Ray McCauley did the altar call. They came to hear a man sing and a boxer, Baby Jake Matlala, give his testimony, and left saved by the cleansing blood of Jesus. Kabelo told them how he nearly died from the drugs and alcohol abuse, and ended up in rehab where Jesus picked him up out of the miry pit, in between singing his well known Kwaito songs. As he started he had them all rapping to Jesus with him..

This was the peak of the “wave”…

Jeremiah 30:17-24: I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says the Lord, because they have called you an outcast…..whom no-one seeks and for whom no-one cares…

Thus says the Lord.. Behold, I will release from captivity the tents of Jacob and have mercy on his dwelling places…

Out of them will come songs of thanksgiving and the voices of those who make merry. I will multiply them, and they will not be few, and I will also glorify them, and they will not be small.

Their children, too, shall be as in former times, and the congregation shall be established before Me, and I will punish all who oppress them.

And their prince will be one of them, and their ruler will come from the midst of them….

Behold, the tempest of the Lord has gone forth with wrath, a sweeping and gathering tempest: it shall whirl and burst upon the heads of the wicked.

The fierce anger and indignation of the Lord shall not turn back until He has executed and accomplished the thoughts and intents of His mind and heart.

In the latter days you shall understand this.

Jeremiah 31 vs3.. I have loved you with an everlasting love ; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you..vs6..for there shall be a day when the watchmen shall cry out, ARISE, and let us go up to “Zion” to the Lord our God.

.vs 9.. they will come with weeping (in penitence and for joy), pouring out prayers.. I will lead them back; I will cause them to walk by streams of water and bring them in a straight way in which they will not stumble..

vs10.. Hear the word of the Lord, O you nations, and declare it in the isles and coastlands far away, He who scattered Israel will gather him and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.

Vs 12.. they shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion (tent hill) and shall flow together and be radiant with joy over the goodness of the Lord…

vs 13.. I will turn their mourning into joy and will comfort them and make them rejoice after their sorrow. Vs 16.. Thus says the Lord: restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work shall be rewarded, says the Lord…and they shall return from the enemy’s land…

Ezekiel 37:26…I will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore..

Isaiah 55 ….

Proverbs 29:25…… the fear of man brings a snare… (pray for all to fear God and not man.)

Friday night the Kingdom of heaven came down and all hell broke loose….

The preacher never got to preach. We called people up for prayer who were struggling with alcohol and drug abuse. She then called those who had been raped and abused to come forward to be delivered / healed… 3 hours later we closed the meeting and many were set free…

Saturday night we experienced a lot of aggression among the teens and young adults – a spirit of disturbance, again many came forward to be delivered.. Many came forward to receive salvation…

There is no turning back as we hit the enemy at the front line. The battle line has been drawn… We are not fighting flesh and blood…

Our God will fight for us against principalities and powers that hold His people in Amaoti (Neh2:20)

We stand in His armour to face the enemy with the multitude of warring angels, holding up our shields of faith , in unity. There must be no chink in the armour (unity of the church of Jesus) for the enemy to pierce through…

Sunday night the tent was once more filled as they came to hear gospel artist, Hlengiwe Hlaba sing and perform with her dancers. The joy in the tent was overwhelming and many were set free. Before the service, we were led to stand shoulder to shoulder, facing Amaoti, speaking out the prayer directive declaration - we come covered in the blood of Jesus and in His authority binding all evil spirits around us and at work in the people of Amaoti… they MUST flee…

Nehemiah 1: 5-11 – God is rebuilding the ruins of Amaoti – the ruined and broken lives..

Hebrews 10:35-39 Do not fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive what is promised… vs 38: the just shall live by faith and if he draws back and shrinks in fear, My soul has no delight or pleasure in him…vs 39: but our way is not that of those who draw back…but we are those who believe and by faith preserve the soul.

The deliverance team (set in place by God) have risen boldly to the task. The preacher from KwaMashu Christian Centre was blown away by the “white people” delivering the black people so effectively and fervently in Jesus’ name.

An interesting observation – 4 of the speakers told the story of the woman with the issue of blood.

When we equate it to these times, similarly, the Aids crisis is making many sick and die. They , too, are shunned by the community as “unclean”. Pray that many will be set free from the spirit of lust…

HEALING

One of the sharks rugby players, who has come out of a conservative Christian background, was on his knees shouting the name of Jesus in the ear of a young man lying on the floor, as he wrestled with the demons. This rugby player injured his leg at Tuesday night’s practice and was left out of the team to play on Saturday. On the Wednesday, one of our crusade team prayed for his healing and he was instantly healed. He went to the sharks team doctor to test him and to the doctor’s astonishment there was nothing wrong with his leg which was supposed to have taken 6 weeks to heal! God wanted him at the crusade on the Friday and Saturday nights to use him to cast out the demons…

Our God is in control of everything..

We have prayed over many sick and are praying for many signs and wonders from our Lord as He confirms His word.. An elderly man came for the discipleship training after giving his life to Jesus. He was blind in the one eye – they prayed for his healing and now he can see out of both eyes!!!!

WATER BAPTISM

30 people who have completed the discipleship training were baptised on the site in a portapool, including our 10 year old “Abraham”. They received their bibles and food parcels from the Kingdom food project.

God is building His congregation and raising up His leaders…

THE CHURCH

The vision is becoming clearer for the way forward after the crusade.

Many are asking for the church.

The tent needs to stay on the site, and the churches who have been working together during the crusade will take the Amaoti Church to the next stage, supporting/equipping, with leadership training, bible studies, kids ministry, youth ministry etc. equipping our brothers and sisters in Christ to help them to walk in His giftings… The church of Jesus working together to change a community…

We believe God is giving us His model which He will take to other parts of the country.

Pray for this vision to be fulfilled as God builds His church.

Pray for permission to be granted for us to stay on the site. (at present we only have a permit for a month.)

Pray for many to be set free from the chains that hold them down..

1,500 new converts have registered over the past 2 weeks.

Many more have acknowledged Jesus as their Saviour
